Rally & Proclamation

The Proclamation announcing June as Pride Month for the City of Denton will be read Tuesday, June 3rd at 6 pm during the City Council Meeting inside the Council Chamber of City Hall (215 E. McKinney St).

A cornerstone of PRIDENTON events are our rallies and marches. We will never forget the roots of Pride. We will never forget the resilience and resistance of our community.

With “Legacy of Resilience” as our theme, we were intentional about highlighting the importance of community, trans rights, and what we need to do to keep fighting back, especially as Texas legislators continue to attack our most vulnerable.

Leading up to the reading of the proclamation, we will gather OUTSIDE City Hall to chant and hear from community leaders.

So, bring your signs! It’s time to be OUT, loud, and proud!

We will announce our featured speakers as we get closer to the event.

Please contact PRIDENTON at info@pridenton.org if you need an accommodation to fully participate in an event due to a disability. Please make the request as soon as possible to allow sufficient time to arrange the accommodation.

Co-Work with Stoke

Co-Work with Stoke

“What’s a Stoke?”
Stoke is a local, queer-owned, co-working space for entrepreneurs, artists, and community organizations.

On Friday, June 6th, 10AM-5PM, Stoke will open their doors for Pride! We’ll be networking, creating, expressing, collaborating, and clacking away on our laptops. Stoke will provide the free space, outlets, wifi, and will have some complimentary beverages on hand. Table/desk and outlet spaces are first-come, first-serve. This is a come-and-go event so hang out for as long or as little as you’d like.

This is just the place to explore your big ideas, connect with other community members, or maybe hunker down on a project you’ve been working on.

So think about what you want to work on that day-–Advocacy? Art? A passion project? Community-building?

The PRIDENTON team will work alongside you, and we’ll be taking plenty of breaks to connect.
